Known as the "Cradle of the Emancipation Proclamation," President Lincoln's Cottage is Abraham Lincoln's summer residence where he lived and worked for over a quarter of his presidency and made some of his most important decisions, including developing the Emancipation Proclamation. Located on a picturesque hilltop in Northwest Washington, DC on the grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home, the Cottage is open for tours 362 days a year. Guided tours offer visitors an intimate view of Abraham Lincoln’s presidency and private life. Visitors are also invited to browse exhibits in the adjacent Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center. Tickets are required for entry to the Cottage, and advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

The National Capital Radio & Television Museum is the only museum devoted to broadcasting in the National Capital Region. Open to the public Friday 9-4 and Saturday/Sunday 12-4. Closed major holidays. The historic (1906) Harmel house serves as the Museum building. The first floor is accessible and there is a video about the exhibits on the second floor that can be played for those who cannot access the stairs.

Located on a 54-acre working farm in Ellicott City, Manor Hill Farm is home to Manor Hill Brewing... Howard County's first, and Maryland's largest, farm brewery. We are also home to 14 acres of corn, several bee hives, approximately 20 chickens, more than 20 free-range angus cattle, 2 pygmy goats, and multiple herb/vegetable/fruit gardens. Our brewing team uses high quality ingredients to craft exciting and approachable beers across both new and traditional styles. We believe strongly in supporting local and practicing sustainability and work to achieve these values as often as possible. Our farm and tasting room are open for visitors on Fridays (4-9pm), Saturdays (12-7pm) & Sundays (12-7pm). There is plenty of space on the farm for first come, first serve seating in our taproom, our covered/heated tent, and our spacious fields. We offer Neapolitan-style brick oven pizzas from our repurposed Pizza Trolley as well as rotating food trucks (check our website for schedule).
