The Colonial Theatre has a very special place in the history of our community and in the lives of many of our residents. It has weathered many storms and economic crises, as well as years of neglect at various times throughout its history. The Colonial is one of the few remaining vaudeville theatres of its era in Virginia and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Xtreme Park Adventures is the ultimate destination in the Triangle for extreme sports, offering outdoor laser tag, airsoft, paintball, ziplines, ropes course, escape rooms, kids games, gem mining and a special haunted Halloween event and more fun across its 50-acre park. We are the largest privately-held tuba museum in the world! The 300+ instruments in the Collection, currently housed in Durham, North Carolina, represent a cross section of the history and development of the various members of the tuba family, from its inception circa 1830 to the present.
